The Southerners beat Dreketi 1-0 in a tight final which was only decided in the last few minutes to full time.
Tailevu Naitasiri President Sundeep Roy says the loss was enough to heal the wounds of other result this season.
“It feels really good to win the Premier title again after missing out last year. After losing the National Premier Division football league playoffs to Savusavu earlier this year we were under pressure. I’m pleased and thank my boys for the effort,” Roy said.
Dreketi Manager Mukesh Chand says the loss was accepted by their camp. He adds that it was sad to lose the title which they worked hard to win last year.
“We are really disappointed with the loss. The boys were not able to follow the game plan we had set but we have accepted the loss,” Chand said.
