It was all smiles for Fiji FA as CJ Patel Group of Companies have come on board once again with a $150,000 sponsorship for the 2012 season.
From the huge sum, $100,000 will go towards the national league board while $50,000 has been allocated for the Youth League.
National League Board Chairman and Fiji FA Vice President Yogeshwar Singh said it would have been a difficult task to run the National League without the support of CJ Patel Group of Companies.
“We are very grateful to CJ Patel Group of Companies for the continued support. It is always a difficult task to get sponsors for a competition of this nature but CJ
Patel has come on board to prove what a wonderful corporate organisation they are and are out to assist in enhancing the level of football in Fiji,” Singh said.
CJ Patel also revealed their new brand GP Batteries at the launch. Group Marketing Director Nathan Hildebrand said that a competition like the national league provided them a perfect platform to market their new brand.

National Football League is shaping up be a successful one. Teams are already planning for double header encounters which would add to the success,” Hildebrand said.
In addition to the $150,000 sponsorship, Hildebrand also announced that Fiji FA’s official newspaper Fiji Sun which is also part of the CJ Patel Group has provided a further $50,000 worth of advertising and promotion space in their newspaper.
Fiji Sun Publisher/Chief Executive Officer Peter Lomas said this would go on to further strengthen their ties with Fiji FA which has enjoyed tremendous amount of promotion and coverage in their newspaper.
The successful partnership between Fiji FA and Fiji Sun has also seen the publication of the successful weekly Fiji Football News which is into its third season.
