Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Bob Kumar says changes have been made to the Southern division and Northern playoffs.
The Northern playoffs will now be played over two days, starting tomorrow at Subrail Park in Labasa. Kumar says the Ratu Cakobau Park Ground 2 is not in playable condition following an inspection earlier today.
The CEO confirmed that all ground two matches in the southern playoffs have now been shifted to the main ground.
“We had an inspection of Ratu Cakobau Park ground two earlier today. The ground is not in playable condition so we have decided to shift the matches to the main ground.
“In the Northern division Nadogo raised the issue that it would be difficult for them to play three games on a day. Since Subrail Park is now available on both days we have decided to play it over two days,” Kumar said.
From the three zonal playoffs this weekend, a total of eight teams will qualify for the NCC finals next weekend at Govind Park in Ba.
Competitions manager Jainendra Sukhu urged clubs to abide by the laws during the NCC.
“All clubs should field only players who are properly registered and licensed. This will assist in avoiding protests and dispute,” he said.
