Dhanji Boyz and Nadawa Boyz with unknown players proved strong for some of the senior teams like Friends UTD and North Pole.
Dhanji Boyz proved futsal pundits wrong by defeating Dinesh Mudiliar’s Friends Utd the reigning champions by 3 goals to 1.
Friends Utd missed their coach Sandeep Nair our National Futsal Rep who was away in Labasa
Dhanji Boyz then upset Pacific Utd in semis and went on to win the final by beating the star studded North Pole team which had former National Futsal Reps like Azmat Begg, Imtiaz Begg. Mira Sahib the Natioanal Futsal Rep was the coach for North Pole. Only 1 goal was scored against Azmat Begg and that to by Dhanji Boyz in the 2nd extra spell in the
dying minutes.
After successfully completing the above futsal league, Fiji FA Futsal Commission has decided to hold another competition in South and interested teams can register their players with the Secretary Fiji FA Futsal Commission or contact Mr J.
