Young Drova settles in

The Rewa based duo Drova and Archie Watkins along with Nadroga’s Eran Underwood made their debut for the Fiji senior men’s side.
“This was totally a new level of competition for me. Vanuatu side was a very tough and skilful side and I have learned a lot,” Drova said.
The young defender has been part of Rewa’s fairytale run in winning the 2010 Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants, 2010 Courts Inter District Championship, 2011 Pillay Garments Champions League and the recent Vodafone Fiji FACT.
He hopes to carry his recent success to the senior national men’s squad with a target in mind to make the final squad for the Pacific Games in New Caledonia.
“My aim is to make the final squad. I now know what to expect and in a better position to fight for a spot.”
Drova along with other national senior squad members, Esava Naqeleca, Archie Watkins, Samuela Drudru and goalie Akuila Mateisuva are also in the running to don the national jumper at the 2011 Oceania Football Confederation Olympic Games playoffs.
