Fiji starts soccer cup on a high

Both goals were scored from a set piece play in the first half through Nasinu Muslim striker Savenaca Nakaulevu and defender Kolinio Sivoki.
Coach Usenio Logaivou says players played excellent football in the first half that saw them scoring two well structured goals.
“The goals were scored from a set piece move, the formation we have opted really worked out as per our game plan to tackle the Australian team.”
“Technically they are good, we were able to match them and we were a little bit physical, our speed and set pieces really worked and playing as a unit was a game plan from the defence, midfield and the strikers,” the former Navua and Labasa defender says.
The second match saw the Fiji U17 West beat Capital Football 6-0.
Round robin matches will also be played on Friday and Saturday with the finals to be played on Sunday.
