The Tavua Football side is keeping hopes high for an improved performance when they take on Tailevu Naitasiri in the Vodafone Senior League (VSL) at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori this Sunday.
Head coach Nazeel Ali is hopeful to get full attendance in the training session to iron out the weaknesses identified last Sunday.
With a narrow 3-2 win over Rakiraki in last weekend’s VSL league, Ali was happy with the result given the limited time for training.
“Yes we are happy that we got the first three points last weekend given the limited time for training,” Ali said.
“But hopefully we can do better against Tailevu Naitasiri than what we did in our last game.
“Although we got the three points but there is alot of work to be done in the training and definitely we will be coming better this week.”
Ali further mentioned the difficulties they are facing.
“Actually we are having some problems in getting the boys back for training given that this pandemic caused alot of players to be out of job.
“They are finding it difficult to come for training and their daily expenses are not met. We are doing our part on getting the players for training and hopefully we can do more for the players.”
The match kicks off at 3.00pm.
