Fiji Football Association has released the fixtures of the 2017 Vodafone Fiji FACT which will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
While the teams have known their fate Rewa coach Marika Rodu says they are happy to face Lautoka in the first match of the tournament.
“Well Lautoka is the top team in the country at the moment and they will come on high note and we will come prepared to play them in the first game,”Rodu said.
The former Rewa and national rep said they would have the advantage of the home support at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
“We always have the home support for Rewa when there is one major tournament at home which we really need to motivate ourselves to win our second Vodafone Fiji FACT title.” he said.
The Vodafone national under 16 girls coach said we would like to see that we qualify by the second match.
“We really focus in taking Lautoka first and not forgetting Rakiraki as well and our strategy will be to qualify from the second match.”
Rodu said their last Vodafone Premier League match against Ba had given them a lot to work on after they missed a lot of scoring opportunities.
“We tried to play with three strikers now but we will try to improve our finishing part as we missed lot of opportunities against Ba.”
Rodu said they had to be serious in their finishing during the Vodafone Fiji FACT.
“We have to be serious in our finishing as we cannot make simple mistake which can cost us,”Rodu said.
Rewa will play Lautoka at 7.30pm on Friday and than take on Rakiraki on Saturday at 3pm while their final pool match will be against Suva on Sunday at 4.30pm.
